Parks and Conservation Reserve Comparison

Within the new Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, there is very little difference between Parks and CRs. Both designations prohibit logging, mining, hydro development and new land sales. In the Waterway Parks, we will continue to enjoy hunting, fishing, boating, canoeing and snowmobiling. This is also true for Conservation Reserves. The main difference between Parks and CRs is administrative, rather than legislative.

FYI----
Kukagami Lake is currently designated as a "Forest Reserve".  This means there will be no logging, land sales, new mining claims  or hydro development, but existing mining claims will continue to allow work as usual.  Someday the MNR might get around to regulating Kukagami as part of the Chiniguchi Waterway Park, or as a Conservation Reserve.
